Sacred Foundation

Discover the divine origins and blessed history of our sacred temple

🕉️ Divine Establishment

Sri Vijaya Durga Peetam stands as a sacred spiritual center established in the blessed village of Vedurupaka in Rayavaram mandal, East Godavari District. This divine sanctuary was consecrated when our beloved Sri Vijaya Durga Ammavaru was installed by the revered Sri Vadrevu Venkata Subrahmanyam.

The sacred installation took place on the most auspicious occasion of Varalakshmi Vratham on 18th August 1972 at 12:42 PM, marking the beginning of countless divine blessings that continue to flow to this day.

Durga means "the inaccessible" or "the invincible". She is considered to be the combined forms of Goddess Lakshmi, Goddess Saraswati and Goddess Kali, representing the complete divine feminine power that protects and nurtures all creation.
